Kintsugi

LA BULLE - April 2025

A bubble, a parenthesis, a break, a moment to change our ideas and share our discoveries and passions.

#1 Kintsugi

Kintsugi reveals what time shapes. Rather than erasing breaks, this Japanese technique highlights them with gold, silver, or platinum, transforming each fracture into a precious imprint. A repaired object is no longer simply restored; it becomes a testament to its history, enhanced by the passage of time.

More than an art, Kintsugi is a philosophy: one that embraces imperfection, celebrates the traces of lived moments and reveals the beauty in what has survived trials.

#2 Ruhlmann, decorator

A master of refinement and elegance, Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann left his mark on Art Deco with his unparalleled sense of form and materials. His creations, with their clean lines and precise finishes, embody the harmony between functionality and luxury. Through a selection of furniture, objects, and sketches, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs offers a glimpse into the world of this decorator, where each piece demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship.

The Ruhlmann, Decorator exhibition is on display in Paris until September 8, 2025.

#3 Vraell

Vraell crafts music where delicacy meets introspection. Carried by a soft voice and minimalist arrangements, his compositions navigate between folk and electronic textures. Each piece seems suspended in time, weaving a universe both melancholic and luminous.

Inspired by artists like Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens, Vraell subtly blends acoustic guitars and electronic sounds. A sincere approach, focusing on emotion and simplicity.

#4 Watch Geekery - Embossing

Embossing embodies relief and texture in watchmaking. Used to finely engrave indexes, numerals, or patterns on dials, it adds a unique depth by playing with light and contrasts.

This technique also extends to leather bracelets, where it allows for elegantly printed patterns and signatures. Each embossed detail highlights the precision of the technique and the demands of the design.

#5 Hemingway Special
