Since its beginnings, Maison Beaubleu has cultivated a singular sense of creativity and a uniquely personal way of capturing time. Until now, this light-hearted and delightfully offbeat vision lived mainly on the wrists of watch enthusiasts; today, it reaches beyond the world of watchmaking to weave itself into every aspect of daily life.
Born from the desire to explore new playgrounds and celebrate a true Culture of the Moment, the “Ex.Caetera” label emerges as the cultural and creative extension of Maison Beaubleu - a space for exclusive drops and collaborations driven by inspiration.
Ex.Caetera's first creation
The first creation from the creative label EX.CÆTERA, “Passe-temps” revolves around a sufficiently serious and essential idea: shared time. Thus, at the crossroads of the clock and kinetic art, this exclusive creation celebrates time that is admired rather than consulted.
Passe-temps is built around two concentric circles. The outer ring acts as a hand, slowly rotating to mark the hours and half-hours on a peripheral 24-hour scale. The inner ring, meanwhile, lets the seconds slip by like an hourglass, framed by a raw steel disk with a distinctive presence.
The whole composition rests on a dual-material pedestal in raw concrete and black marble - a clear nod to kinetic art and the quiet beauty of perpetual motion. Limited to just 19 numbered copies, this piece is available in two sizes and can be customized upon request.
